Hi there

Reading the release notes for 4.1.6 - 88774 states the idle browser selection for the screen saver has been disabled.....

Is this the case for all models?

I know there was a know bug for the 500's where this would not work:

http://community.polycom.com/t5/VoIP/VVX-500-Screen-saver-issue/td-p/47463

I just wondered if it has been disabled across all models in the new release?

Cheers

Dave

Hello Dave,

the fix 88774 is for the VVX500 & VVX600 as a bug did not allow to utilize the defined Idle browser and showed build in pictures instead.

For the VVX300/310/400/410 the issue is that we actually do not provide a Idle screen at all.

We only support the screen saver functionality on these phones and therefore, to my knowledge, the functionality to select the idle screen was removed / will be removed.

I hope this clears up things.

If you have found any issues you will need to report these to your Polycom reseller so we can open a Ticket with Polycom support and track the issue.

Nothing that is posted here will be cross linked automatically.

Best Regards

Hello Dave,

There where some changes that only affects VVX300/310/400/410 as they have not got the touch screen unlike the VVX500/600.

You best guess is to simply test this.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hi All

Just so everyone is aware the screen saver/idle screen has NOT been disabled for the 3x0 VVX models in software version 4.1.6 as I have just tested this.

Config used:

   <mb.idleDisplay.home mb.idleDisplay.home="https://dms.ipt.provisioningserver.co.uk:443/dms/polycomVVX310/VVX310-Idle-Image.jpg" />
    <mb.idleDisplay.refresh mb.idleDisplay.refresh="" />
  </mb>
  <up>
    <up.idleBrowser.enabled up.idleBrowser.enabled="1" />
    <up.screenSaver.enabled up.screenSaver.enabled="1" />
    <up.screenSaver.type up.screenSaver.type="2" />
    <up.screenSaver.waitTime up.screenSaver.waitTime="5" />
    <up.oneTouchVoiceMail up.oneTouchVoiceMail="0" />
    <up.screenCapture.enabled up.screenCapture.enabled="1" />
  </up>

Hope this clarifies for anyone else who was wondering - I will test and update for 4x0 models when I can...

Cheers
