I got a request from a user to change the default settig of the video layout from auto to full screen. In the following link it states what code it is to change this.

https://knowledgebase-iframe.polycom.com/kb/viewdocument.do?noCount=true&externalId=34021&sliceId=1&...

Now I am unable to find the cfg file to change the settings, I have access via the web portal but it does not show the video.cfg ( see file for screenshot )
Even when dowloading all, cfg there is not mention of the settings.

I am totally new in this with the polycom devices, so I hope you guys can help me.
Just need to know how to get the file, edit it, upload and then load the config in the phone.

Hello @tcligge,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

As stated in the linked Document:

  • The parameters can be found in the template video.cfg file within the /Config Subfolder of a Firmware download

Did you download a firmware and look in the folder?

In addition you should at least provide details on the actual Polycom product you are using and its current firmware.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Ah yes my bad. We have use the polycom trio 8800 it shows that it is on version 5.5.2.11338

I saw what you state in the document, but just noticed that I downloaded the CAB file and that's why I could not find it. I downloaded the correct one now and am able to find the file.

Also updated the firmware ( hope nothing goes wrong )

Edited the video.cfg and imported it.
Now it goes auto full screen when in the conf mode.

What I still don't get why the video.cfg isn't available for download from the web portal.
It still shows what I had before the firmware update, so how do you get access to all config files if I want to change it later?

Hello @tcligge,

Trio UC Software 5.5.2 is no longer a currently supported software Version.

In regards to config files:

Mar 08, 2013 Question: Where can I download configuration files from or create these myself?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Mar 08, 2013 QuestionWhat files does my phone download or upload and why?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

The above explains that all files within a downloaded firmware in the \Config Sub folder are just templates.

tcligge, just use the above file as a template.  Save as a *.cfg file and upload into the phone, adjusting the lines as necessary for whichever settings you wish to modify.
