Hello,

        I am trying to upgarde IP 6000 from Fw. 3.3.1/BootRom 4.2.2 to FW 4.0.7/Updater 5.07 via provisioning Server and I am refering  Upgrade_Downgrade_UCS_v4_0_0_EA64731.pdf .

 

The device just hangs infinite time saying that 'Updating Initial configuration'. Its not writing syslog also..

 

Any help highly appreciated... Thanks.

Above explains the requirements in details and using an FTP server will allow you to study the logs.

                  Thanks for your reply..But I am still trying to resolve the issue. It hangs for days with out reporting any error or reboot.. Bootable contents are availble in the path which I can dowload from the browser.. In the same environment we upgraded thousands of IP650/331.

Have you checked the server for the phone's app and boot log ?

 

Did you download the Updater 5.0.5 for the SSIP phone and place it in that directory ?

                   Its stopping where it just finds a bootRom and trying to download...Till that point there is no boot/app log. Please check attachment.

 

I am following steps mentioned in Upgrade_Downgrade_UCS_v4_0_0_EA64731.pdf with SIP 4.0.7.  It contains the bootROM version 5.0.1. Its available in the boot path.

 

" To Upgrade SoundStation IP 6000 and 7000 Phones:
1 Visit the Voice Support page and select your phone from the list.
2 Locate BootROM 4.4.0 B Upgrader and UC Software 4.0.1 under the Downloads section and save
the files onto your computer.
3 Unzip BootROM 4.4.0 B Upgrader and UC Software 4.0.1.
4 Copy the <partNumber>.bootrom.ld files from the Upgrader onto your provisioning server.
These <partNumber>.bootrom.ld files contain both Upgrader and Updater 5.0.1 images "
