HP Recommended

On a VVX500 firmware 4.1.3 I put in a softkey below to forward a ringing call to the number 4255551212 - but it doesn't work. It seems like the code is good as I tried it on an active call, but it seems not to allow a refer in alerting state. I tried using an answer command first as well, that also didn't work. Any thoughts how to make this happen?
