i have of questions, would appreciate your help

from desktop phone VM outgoing message, is there an option to hit (?) for immediate assistance available? I would like to offer the option to exit  my VM into the main ring group.

all of our phones are in the main ring group, we have no auto attendant nor a dedicated set that all incoming call s go to first.

is there a setting to prevent my desk phone from saving every incoming main ring group call, not answered at my extension, as a missed call?

Thanks

Hello ,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

Since Software Version 4.0.0 we support the RFC3326 Reason header Call completed elsewhere.

The UCS 4.0.0 Release notes list this as:

  • 26549 Enhanced the local missed call feature for shared line appearances. This feature supports RFC 3326 Reason Header.

The above completely depends on your SIP PABX.

I am not familiar with the other reference you provided in regards to the ? as I am not aware that we would have such key on our phones.

Please liaise with whoever installed your SIP PABX.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier
