Hi: Is there a VPN client for the polycom VVX 500's ?   I have used Avaya 9640's and it would just be a firmware update to load VPN client onto it.  Also the cisco 525 phones have VPN client so just wondering if I'm not looking in right place on these Polycoms ?  thank you.

welcome to the Polycom Community.

 

I am not aware of an VPN implementation on our VoIP Phones.

 

In order to add new Features my only advice would be to contact your Polycom Reseller and work with them to submit a Feature Request via a Polycom Systems Engineer once you provide a Business case for this to be possibly implemented into future Software Releases.

So there are no Polycom conference phones capable of utilizing a VPN?

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The answer is still the same and it has not yet been deemed necessary to include such functionality into our products.

 

We support secure encryption of the SIP Signaling and Secure RTP and in addition can implement with LYNC via an EDGE server.
