Phone: VVX 250

MAC: 64167F58AC0C

Firmware: 5.9.1

Platform: OpenSips

Theme: Broadsoft

I'm trying to theme a polycom phone and had no luck with a VVX501 so I grabbed a VVX 250 and trying to theme the phone.

Looking at the Admin guide for 5.9.0 it says "You can configure custom colors for the user interface on VVX 250, 350, and 450 business IP phones using the parameters in the following table."

I created a new cfg file named cfg and uploaded to my FTP server and changed the MAC Address cfg file so the new theme.cfg is included. (the theme.cfg file is attached and named theme.log)

on the Phone I select Update Configuration. The phone updates and I see Update Complete but phone does not reboot and the settings do not take effect until I manually reboot the phone. Other paramiters can be changed and phone does reboot if needed. Issue seems to only be with ui tags.

In the attached screenshot I have set the softkey background to Yellow but it has no affect on the softkey and only changes the bottom bar. I have 3 softkeys on the phone that did not change. Only the 4th position changed as there is no button to display.

The first 2 softkeys bring up a webpage and the 3rd is for the directory.

How do I change the softkey background?

Hello @SteffenBaierUK,

I recently upgraded to 6.0.0.

I tried the config you posted most bof the elements are themeable but the softkey buttons.

In your config

ui.statusBar.background="#AA0000"

should be setting the title bar a dark red but in the screenshot you posted the color did not change.

What I'm trying to do is change the color of the Softkey buttons.

Using the following config

ui.softkey.background="#FF0094"

should be setting the color to a Magenta/Pink color but as you can see in your screenshot your buttons remain the default Broadsoft theme color. Looking at my Screensot everything was themed except the softkey. as you can see the softkey bar (Bottom middle in my screenshot) changes but not the buttons (Reboot and Update). My original theming issue was with the softkey color. Is it possable to change the actually Softkey (Reboot and Update in my screenshot)?

Hello @oslinux1 ,

welcome back to the Poly Community.

The next step would be to raise a ticket for this.

In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Poly reseller as they need to do this for you.

End Customers are unable to open a ticket directly with Poly support.

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter providing your MAC address or your Poly devices serial will enable us to look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Poly device from.

If the unit is no longer within the warranty please be prepared to Pay Per Incident / PPI. This is all outlined in detail here

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
