Hi,

 

I am tying to reset my VVX 400 phone to factory defaults but it won't let me. For some reason my admin password does not work anymore. Only user password works. 

 

I tried 456, 1234, admin, password and everything else that could possibly work with no luck.

I also tried putting in a mac address in the password field which did not work ether. 

 

What do you do in this case? Am i stuck forever? It's relatively a brand new phone.

Hello @acoolov,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

We do not disclose within this official Polycom community how to reset the Phones if the Admin Password is lost.

Many of our partners utilize these phones and offer services so we cannot publicly disclose the procedure to do so.

If your phone is still able to connect to the Provisioning server please reset the password via the Device Parameters documented in the Admin Guide or here

The above is also stated in the Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum

If this is not possible please contact your Polycom reseller or the person you purchased the phone from.

We will close this to prevent any reply.

I am tying to reset my VVX 400 phone to factory defaults but it won't let me. For some reason my admin password does not work anymore. Only user password works. This happened after I upgraded to 5.2.4.0155 version. I never changed my admin password. It just stopped allowing me to login as admin. We use these phones with a FreePBX phone system.

 

This is the second post, because my first one was closed by Polycom support and they did not let me reply. Please do not close my post!

 

I bought this phone from Amazon and there is no way they could do anything about this situation. Now I am stuck with a VVX 400 not allowing me to change anything on it. 

 

Please help!

we already responded and we will not answer this and we will prevent (by closing this) other users from answering.

 

The reason behind this was explained.

 

We cannot stop you from utilizing a search engine and finding the resolution to this elsewhere.
