Do the VVX 410 phones support RFC 3842? Has anyone used them on the NEC SV8100 with voicemail? The phones work, they have mailboxes which they can access by dialing the pilot number. However there is no indication of new messages.
Thanks

Hello jerrytech1,
via the Web Interface Settings > Lines > Line 1 > Message Center allows you to setup the Subscription Address.
Details how you need to set this up need to come from NEC.
Usually you would enter your own extension here.
The Call Back contact can also be defined. The Web Interface should display a help section on the right or the Admin Guide can be consulted.
For troubleshooting please utilize the examples in the FAQ.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hello ,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
Our phones do support the RFC as stated in the Admin Guide:
RFC 3842—A Message Summary and Message Waiting Indication Event Package for the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)
Have you checked if the Phone subscribes to the Pilot or Extension Number?
usually NEC would have done the interoperability testing with our phones so you should inquire with them.
