VVX 5.3.0 IM pre configured replies

Hi all

 

Is there a way to change the pre defined Instant Messaging replies in software version 5.3.0 at all?

Thanks for that - I cant seem to find it in the 5.3.0 Admin Guide though... are you able to point me in the right direction at all please?

Hello Dave,

I just double checked and they are indeed not in the Admin Guide but you can always double check parameters in the polycomConfig.xsd

 

I added these quickly to a test phone but they still do not appear in the 5 offered fixed messages. I can only advise to raise a ticket with our Support team via your Polycom reseller and quote VESC-5299.

Hello Dave,

The messaging.quicknotes are a leftover from our former SpectraLink business unit and was never used for the VVX or SPIP / SSIP Phones.

 

The VVX-dictionary.xml in the relevant language contains the phrase 126 to 130 which you could modify leaving you with 5 different messages.
