Hi All

We have a VVX300 Polycom phone

We are importing the BLF lights with the following provisioning script

But the names do show up on the panel but the BLF lights do not come on

If we add them manually the via the web interface then the lights work

any ideas why?

Hello andycol,

You still have not shared with us what SIP server you are using so this may be simply an issue of incompatibility.

Please work with your SIP server provider and then possibly raise this via your Polycom reseller so they can open a ticket with Polycom support for you.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hello andycol,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The Web Interface offers you to add Busy Line Field / BLF and not Buddy Watch as in your example above.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Aug 06, 2013 Question: How can I use the Buddy Watch feature?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

or

Nov 4, 2011 Question: How can I setup a Busy Lamp Field / BLF with an Digium Asterisk SIP Server?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Above explains the difference in detail.

Please ensure you always check the community FAQ and/or utilize the community search before posting any new topics or follow up post’s.

Ho Steffen,

Thanks for the reply,

The problem we have is that if we get them working via the interface then the phone constantly shows when a phone is ringing and says pickup which interrupts the main screen

is there a way to just show the busy lamp field on the panel and nothing on the actual phone's screen?

Thanks Again

Hello andycol,

If an activity is shown then this is caused by the SIP Server sending this via a NOTIFY.

The SIP server may simply not be compatible and I advise you to contact your SIP server provider for the correct usage with our BLF or Buddy Watch implementation.

The FAQ post's provide troubleshooting information and details.

Hi Steffen,

The strange thing is that when we used to use yealink phones, the lights work 100%

Our biggest problem is that we do not want it to say pickup on the screen of the phone
