VVX 500 Call Park Soft Key configuration file (carrier code is *103)

Does anyone know what the soft key config action file would be to program carrier code (Vonage Business Soluitons) *103 to park calls.  The sequence today is "transfer, *103, listen to where call is parked, transfer".  Need to write script to make this feature a one button soft key.

Re: VVX 500 Call Park Soft Key configuration file (carrier code is *103)

Hello pholtman,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used software version as this may depend on the answer we can provide.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes or available Admin Guide.

The above is also stated in the "Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

In regards of Softkey programming you may want to look here:

Nov 25, 2011 Question: How can I change the functionality of a softkey button / use EFK?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

The Example 9 of the above could be used for what you are after.

You could look at the Configure Call Park and Retrieve section of the UC Admin Guide.

Re: VVX 500 Call Park Soft Key configuration file (carrier code is *103)

Thank you for the feedback.

However none of the information was helpful.

The VVX500 phones are running version 4.1.6.  Today the customer has to dial the sequence when on an active call "transfer, *103, listen to what number the call is parked on, and transfer to complete the call park".

I need to make this a soft key.

Where I'm having difficulty is how to activate the transfer to *103.

If the customer needed to hit a soft Call Park key and it was programmed to "transfer, *103" and then hit the transfer key again to complete the Call Park

I think they would be okay with that as well. so instead of a 6 key sequence we would reduce it to a 2 key sequence.

Customer utilizeds Call Park all the time.

Re: VVX 500 Call Park Soft Key configuration file (carrier code is *103)

Hello pholtman,

I have formatted your post so it is easier readable.

My reply outlined the FAQ and a very specific section within the F aka Create a Softkey to directly transfer a call and hangup.

You could simply modify this based on the other examples and add a pause to wait.

I suggest you check the FAQ post again and then work with your Polycom reseller if you require further support.

Re: VVX 500 Call Park Soft Key configuration file (carrier code is *103)

This is the exact thing we are also trying to do with our VVX400 and VVX300 models.  It's now Aug, 2016 and Vonage still doesn't have this auto-provisioned onto the phones.  Park/UnPark is very useful, so I thought we would attempt to implement it ourselves.

First the good news.  UnPark was easy...

softkey.2.enable="1"
softkey.2.use.idle="1"
softkey.2.label="UnPark"
softkey.2.action="*104$Tinvite$"

That pops you to the UnPark announcement.  You dial the park slot number and you are immediately connected.  Works great.

Still can't figure out Park.  I've tried...

softkey.1.enable="1"
softkey.1.use.active="1"
softkey.1.label="Park"
softkey.1.action="*103$Trefer$"

This picks up a second line (which simply dialing *103 does not do) and you get the park announcement "your call in parked spot one."  If you then try to complete the xfer by hanging up, the call does not go into park.

The *103$Tinvite$ doesn't work at all.

This works but is inelegant:

softkey.1.action="$FTransfer$$FDialpadStar$$FDialpad1$$FDialpad0$$FDialpad3$"

This essentially presses the buttons just like the human would press them.  It takes longer because it doesn't actually press the buttons super-fast.  Also, it feels a little 1980's to simulate button presses.

Hope this post is able to light up this discussion again.

Re: VVX 500 Call Park Soft Key configuration file (carrier code is *103)

unsure if solved, but i had a similar issue to you. the best workaround i was able to find was creating a speed dial contact with the park star code from our provider (*37) with the parking spot 1. this way we just hit blind transfer with *371. the park 1 speed dial will then be called and start blinking and anyone can pick it up by hitting the speed dial button. i was unable to find a solution that is the one stop shop for parking and unparking a call, but ill take the reduction in effort for parking nd unparking. hope this helps any
