Hi ,

I am working on upgrading our Polycom VVX501 phones and noticed that the home screen Redial ICON disappeared when upgraded to 5.7.2. I tried upgrading to 5.9.3 and still dont see the icon.

Phone Information Phone Model VVX 501 Part Number 3111-48500-001 Rev:A MAC Address 64:16:7F:02:16:4E IP Mode IPv4 IP Address 172.16.30.32 UC Software Version 5.7.2.1277 Updater Version 5.9.2.1208

I have even tried using the below config but still no joy.

homeScreen.application.enable="0"
homeScreen.BToE.enable="0"
homeScreen.calendar.enable="0"
homeScreen.directories.enable="1"
homeScreen.doNotDisturb.enable="1"
homeScreen.features.enable="1"
homeScreen.forward.enable="1"
homeScreen.messages.enable="1"
homeScreen.newCall.enable="1"
homeScreen.redial.enable="1"
homeScreen.settings.enable="1"
homeScreen.status.enable="1"

Has anyone experienced this before.

Attached are the logs from the phone with config logs set to debug and pbu file from the phone.

Regards

Robert

Thanks Stefen.

Just for anyone looking for a solution on this, we raied it via Siphon and Polycom TAC responded as below.

"The escalations team and product managers have now confirmed that this behaviour is working as designed, where a call should be made first in order to activate the redial feature. The feature does not survive a reboot.
Therefore I might suggest a Feature Request if the functionality is desired going forward"

I will raise the feature request via our account manager.

This can now be closed

Robert

Hello @robertrozario ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

There is no backup attached so we cannot comment on this.

The phone seems to be connected to a DMS aka Broadsoft so we do not know what additional configuration is pushed from the server.

We can only recommend working with Siphon Networks Ltd who sold the phone back in 11/04/2016

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
