VVX 600 No ringback on UC 5.0.2

Hi All

After upgrading to UC 5.0.2 we have found that when placing calls to extensions on our old PABX, which loops through our Sonus SBC 1000 to our old PABX,  we do no get any ringback on the new firmware. Can you advise how to restore the ringback please?

Hello mcowley,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

UCS 5.0.2 added a fix for certain scenarios where we would play two ring back tones.

 

One local and one from the network.

 

  • 91564 Local and remote Ringback tone is no longer heard on outgoing calls after receiving 183 and 180 response.

If you do not get any Ring Back at present it may be caused by your gateway not sending the SDP as expected.

 

The only and correct way to address this is to raise this with your Polycom reseller so they can open a ticket with Polycom support.

 

Please ensure you provide all the relevant per Device LYNC licenses that entitle you to utilize UCS Software with LYNC.

All Phones have:  UC Software Version  5.0.2.2185

 

Issue:  2 of our Polycom Phones have a ring issue on outgoing calls (Lync to Lync calls are ok).

 

When making an out going call the phone will ring 1x then no additional rings (or sound until the person you are calling picks up or you enter their voice mail).

as already explained to the original poster this needs to be raised via your Polycom reseller as we require extensive logs.

 

Another outstanding part from your end is to provide your LYNC license for the phone in question as explained => here <= ?

1)  I will follow  this  ringback issue with Circuit ID (whom I purchased the phones &  circuit from).

I rolled back my UC Software from 5.0.2.2185 to 5.0.1.7310 which corrected the ring issue on both phones.
