Hello,

I have these lines in my config.  I would expect these to be placed on linekeys 17/18 (which should be the first spots on the expansion module).  Unfortunately they always seem to end up on the phone screen until i fill the screen.

 attendant.resourceList.17.address="sip:Ext@site"
 attendant.resourceList.17.label="71"
 attendant.resourceList.17.type="normal"
 attendant.resourceList.18.address="sip:Ext2@site"
 attendant.resourceList.18.label="123"

Is there a way to force BLFs to the expansion module without having a full phone screen?

Thank you

M

Hi Steffen,

I have tried this and it does not appear to work on my VVX 600 running on 5.2

I have 1 line, and 4 BLF's.  The VVX has one color expansion module.

I have this

lineKey.reassignment.enabled="1"
lineKey.1.category="Line"
lineKey.17.category="BLF"
lineKey.18.category="BLF"
lineKey.19.category="BLF"
lineKey.20.category="BLF"
lineKey.1.index="1"

I believe this should put the line on button one and the 4 BLFs on the expansion module.  They are all showing on the phone.

Thank you

Hello clifforg,

I had some user post something similar earlier => here <=

Try and "Unassign" the keys currently occupied.

Hi Steffen,

I just re-formatted the phone and let it re-read the config from scratch.

I also did a settings export just to check and all i see are the intended linekey items (no existing ones)

Still no dice.

Thanks

I wonder if its something with my formatting? is this correct?

<lineKey
up.numOfDisplayColumns="1"
<lineKey.reassignment.enabled
lineKey.reassignment.enabled="1" >
</lineKey.reassignment.enabled>
lineKey.1.category="Line"
lineKey.5.category="BLF"
lineKey.6.category="BLF"
lineKey.7.category="BLF"
lineKey.8.category="BLF"
lineKey.1.index="1" >
</lineKey>

Here is my resource list also for review

  attendant.resourceList.17.address="sip:1234@PBX"
   attendant.resourceList.17.label="Main"
   attendant.resourceList.17.type="normal"
   attendant.resourceList.18.address="sip:71@PBX"
   attendant.resourceList.18.label="Line1"
   attendant.resourceList.18.type="automata"
   attendant.resourceList.19.address="sip:72@PBX"
   attendant.resourceList.19.label="Line2"
   attendant.resourceList.19.type="automata"
   attendant.resourceList.20.address="sip:73@PBX"
   attendant.resourceList.20.label="Line3"

Steffen,

Any thoughts? should I open a ticket?

Hello Clifforg,

  • The attendant.resourceList.X number does not control the Button / Line the contact is assigned to.

    The attendant.resourceList.X Value should start with 1 and controls the order of the individual BLF's

  • The lineKey.X parameter defines the actual Position of the Key and would in this case need to start as lineKey.17 for the BLF to be placed on the Expansion Module.

    If you already have them assigned to the Main Phone you need to clear this via also assigning Unassigned or simply factory restore the phone and load the new configuration.

Steffen,

This was created from a template.  I have the other buttons in there.  Here is the whole section (I have all resourceLists in there).  Even if I move them to .1, .2 .3 .4 it doesn't change the location.  I have up.numOfDisplayColumns="1" which I believe makes the first expansion key 5.  I am formatting the phone after each config change to ensure nothing is left behind.

Steffen,

Also.  Settings keys to Unassigned doesn't seem to do anything.

lineKey.1.category="Line"
lineKey.2.category="Unassigned"
lineKey.3.category="Unassigned"
lineKey.4.category="Unassigned"
lineKey.5.category="BLF"
lineKey.6.category="BLF"
lineKey.7.category="BLF"
lineKey.8.category="BLF"
lineKey.9.category="BLF"
lineKey.1.index="1"

The first 5 keys are still used regardless.
