Hi,

 

I am wanting to using a VVX 600 (we also have VVX 400 & 500's) with a colour expansion module, but also use BToE software.  My understanding is in order to use the BToE software you need software version 5.x, but the colour expansion module only works (powers up) with software version 4.1.6.4835.

 

So it seems from my testing that you can either use BToE, or use the colour expansion module, but not both together.  Is this correct?

 

Is there any plans for release a firmware version supports both?

This is planned for the UCS 5.1.0 release which is currently targeted for the Q2/2014 time frame.

Hello Mike,

UCS 5.1.0 can be requested via Polycom Support (Please ensure you provide your per LYNC license) in individual cases but I recommend to wait for the officially Microsoft tested UCS 5.1.1 (Subject to change).

I was told by someone in support that 5.1.1 was going to be released on 6/16/2014.  I haven't seen it come through yet.  Any word when this build will be ready?  I have a client that is wanting BToE AND the color expansion module to work on their VVX 600.  I understand delays.  I just want to set the expectation with the client.

As explained above to Mike already UCS 5.1.0 can be requested via a support ticket.

 

UCS 5.1.1 is currently being certified by our Partner Microsoft and we are aiming to have this released later this month (Subject to change).
