We have rolled out many VVX500, we understand that if SCA is enabled, 'Forward' softkey will dissappeared from the main screen.
However, if you press 'Home' button, Purple 'Forward' icon still shown there. That icon has suddenly lost its configuration. I was wondering in which file that option existed and how to re-enable it.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Dan,

as stated in my original reply you will need both parameters.

Your reply is missing the divert.1.sharedDisabled

Utilizing both as advised brings back the FWD Key and Icon on the Home Screeen and the one in the menu.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hello dwood,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

Fair enough.

I have tried with version 4.1.4 and version 5.1. There are a few other devices with other releases of the 4xx software and it seems that all the phones that have downloaded their config files do not have this option enabled. There's only about 3-4 thousand of these that are effected on these two clusters of servers. So if you can answer quickly on where this setting is, or how I can enable this button I sure would appreciate it. Thanks Steffen

Hello dwood,

This is actually the standard setting for a Phone using a shared line.

From the Admin Guide:

divert.x.sharedDisabled and call.shared.disableDivert

The standard value for this is 1 so the ability to call forward a shared line is disabled.

You can disable this via:

<test divert.1.sharedDisabled="0" call.shared.disableDivert="0" />

Steffen,

So that setting from 1 to 0 did not work.

I changed it here: <call.shared call.shared.disableDivert="0" call.shared.exposeAutoHolds="0" call.shared.oneTouchResume="0" call.shared.seizeFailReorder="1"> in the sip.cfg file.

CONFIG_FILES_VVX600="phone.cfg,sys.cfg,sip.cfg,efk.cfg"

are the ones downloaded as specified in the MAC.cfg file.

Again this is the software purple forward button that appears after you press the hardware phone option on the right side of the screen.

Is there any other setting that may be blocking that button from being used? When I see it and tap the screen, the phone just goes back to the idle page where the available lines are. would adding these files assist?

Thanks again,

Dan W.
