Hi, first time posting.  I tried to research other posts, but could not find an answer.  I have a brand new VVX501 phone that I purchase on Amazon.  SIP version 5.4.1.17954.  I am trying to connect to a newtwork environemnt at a Regus office.  The IT department is managed remotely from Manila, I believe, so hard to get much support.  The phone MAC address is registered on the network.  But I get a DHCP Error when I reboot the phone, and the phone does not acquire an IP address.  I have a computer (Dell XPS 15) pluged into a Plugable USB-C docking station connected to the computer port on the bottom of the phone - and the computer is working fine and getting an IP address.  Any thoughts?  If there are specific network settings that need to be applied, I can get those to the IT group, and they will likely accomodate - I just need to know what to tell them.  I believe the Network is managed on Cisco hardware.

Thanks,

Ian

Hello Ian,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The Phone should be able to get an IP address but the software version you are using is quite outdated.

Can you connect the phone to any other network and update the software ?
