VVX phones BLF status not working after DNS change

We're using DNS to failover between two Asterisk servers and are finding BLF stops working for at least an hour or until the phone is restarted after we change DNS.  We have both expires and subscribe.expires set to 60 so I'd expect it to pick back up witthin a minute.  Are there any other settings changes we can update to improve the behavior?

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used SIP or UC Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

Sorry, this has been with 4.x through the current 5.4.0.5841 with VVX 400, 500 and 600s connecting to Asterisk.
