VVX1500 Elastix Video Call Issue [Split]

Hello Steffen,

I have problem when established calls between two VVX1500. After voice calls established, then i pressed the video button on VVX1500 but the video was not works. Because the video icon was disabled. But if i dialed directly VVX1500 to VVX 1500 using url format (by passing elastix) then the video was ok. Can someone help what caused this problem?
My elastix is 2.4 and VVX1500 firmware is 3.3.

I have split this post from your other LDAP post as they are completely unrelated.


The Video capabilities depend on your SIP switch. If the SIP switch does not allow Video then the call wont have video in it's SDP negotiation.


The phone itself works as you already confirmed via URL dialing.


I would suggest you inquire within the elastix community. It would also not harm to update the VVX1500 to the currently latest UCS 4.0.4 release.
