Hi, We have aproximately

30x Polycom IP335 Phones

60x Polycom VVX310 Phones

Now the issue I am having is that anytime our VOIP provider has an issue / server times / or there is a small internet disconnect every single VVX310 phone needs to be rebooted to work again. However all the IP335 Phones start working as soon as the server reconnects or internet timeout ends.

Both phones are configured the same.

DHCP mode - static

Server mode HTTPS

and the same server.

What is it about these newer phones that makes the need to be rebooted? This is very annoying as ... the newer phone should work better and not worse.

Does anyone know of a setting or something that could resolve this issue?

Thanks

Hello cenkaetaya,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used SIP or UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Read First"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP or UC Software Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

Hello cenkaetaya,

Both software versions are outdated and therefore unsupported.

The SPIP phone should be on UC Software 4.0.11 and the VVX on UC Software 5.5.1 or 5.4.5

If the upgrade does not help the VVX then please go ahead and open a ticket.

In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you.

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post your phone's MAC address so I can look up who would be able to support you.
