I can not seem to get the VVX600 to take the change for the message waiting to change from chord to silence.

I have tried both of the following in the cfg file:

<sound_effects>
<patterns>
<MISCELLANEOUS>
<se.pat.callProg.msgwaiting.inst.1="silence" se.pat.callProg.msgwaiting.inst.1.value="1" se.pat.callProg.msgwaiting.inst.2.type="silence" se.pat.callProg.msgwaiting.inst.2.value="2" se.pat.callProg.msgwaiting.inst.3.type="silence" se.pat.callProg.msgwaiting.inst.3.value="1"/>

 or

<sound_effects>
<patterns>
<MISCELLANEOUS>
<MESSAGE_WAITING se.pat.misc.1.name="message waiting" se.pat.misc.1.inst.1.type="silence" se.pat.misc.1.inst.1.value="1" se.pat.misc.1.inst.2.type="silence" se.pat.misc.1.inst.2.value="2" se.pat.misc.1.inst.3.type="silence" se.pat.misc.1.inst.3.value="1"/>

Neither have worked.

Hello Arcon,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The Parameters have dramatically changed since UCS 3.3.0 was introduced.

Please try:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<!-- PlcmConversionCreatedFile version=1.2 converted=Wed May 29 18:52:58 2013 -->
<polycomConfig xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="polycomConfig.xsd">
  <se>
    <se.pat>
      <se.pat.callProg>
        <se.pat.callProg.msgWaiting>
          <se.pat.callProg.msgWaiting.inst se.pat.callProg.msgWaiting.inst.1.type="silence" />
        </se.pat.callProg.msgWaiting>
      </se.pat.callProg>
    </se.pat>
  </se>
</polycomConfig>

I tried that.  I made a separate config for it, rebooted the phone and see where the cfg file was run.  It still beeps when there is a message waiting.  See the attached config files (config is polycomvvx.cfg).  Files run are 1177.cfg, altigen.cfg, and polycomvvx.cfg.
