Hello Folkert,

I have to correct myself. A CX Aries Phone for example sends a DHCP INFORM to the IP of the DHCP server it received its IP from and then sends another DHCP INFORM as a broadcast as well.

Our VVX 3PIP implementation currently only sends the Broadcast.

It would be helpful if you could raise a Polycom service ticket via your Polycom reseller.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hi Steffen,

I have to check with the customer where those Polycom phones are bought. It could be some website store, I don't know if it's possible to open a ticket there. The customer is changing his network topology so we don't have any problems with this DHCP broadcast thing. So I don't think we will open a Polycom ticket. At least you know of this issue now, so maybe your developers will make the behavior the same as the CX phones in a future firmware. For now thanks for your help, I learned something new! Regards,
