Hi,

Dhcp-class-Identifier value comes as empty when we get the value from third party code bacbase, and found that TCPdump itself doesnot show the value for "Vendor class identifier" in DHCP Discover/Request packet.

The value comes below when it got selected from pcap file.

"00:00:36:3d:74:01:07:50:6f:6c:79:63:6f:6d:02:18:53:6f:75:6e:64:53:74:61:74:69:6f:6e:49:50:2d:53:53:49:50:5f:36:30:30:30:03:10:33:31:31:31:2d:31:35:36:30:30:2d:30:30:31:2c:42:04:1e:53:49:50:2f:34:2e:30:2e:38:2e:31:36:30:38:2f:30:37:2d:46:65:62:2d:31:35:20:31:30:3a:33:39:05:1d:55:50:2f:35:2e:30:2e:38:2e:30:39:33:35:2f:31:34:2d:4a:61:6e:2d:31:35:20:32:30:3a:31:37"

Hello @Parimaladevi Vadivel,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used SIP or UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .

In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.

The screenshot of the Wireshark shows that this unit is using UC Software 4.0.8.

I am not aware of any issues in this build but I recommend you use the latest 4.0.13 instead.
