Good evening.

Desperately need community/experts help on following - I bought 15 Polycom VVX411 phones and IP telephony provider has given us:

1. a virtual PBX (example = vats123456.megapbx.xxx);

2. a sip trunk connection (single RJ-45 cable);

3. and the following data for connection:

IP address: 10.xxx.yy.185

Subnet maks: 255.255.255.248

Default gateway: 10.xxx.yy.190

IP SBC: 10.1.0.13

Each user/"number" within virtual PBX has an account (example = name_lastname@vats123456.megapbx.xxx) with password, which is used for populating the Line info in Line configuration at manual or automatic set up/provisioning of phones. Phones were provisioned to 6.3.1.8427 via FTP server at our router.

However, we are unable to connect any info presented on FAQ/forum to our situation to have our phones connected, whichever combination of initial information we try in phone settings.

Questions:

1. Does anyone have an example, similar to ours and was able to "map" initial data (similar to above) to actual vvx411 phone settings?

2. Is provided information enough to connect our phones to virtual PBX and sip trunk?

Any good source of information to read/get acquainted would be helpful. Thanks a lot!

P.S. I did ask quite a few of IT specialists and companies to help us tuning up our telephones and system (as a paid service), yet every single one of them was providing only general info with an excuse "or, I never worked with this equipment".

Hello @m00zel ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

I suggest you look at the 2nd post here:

Mar 08, 2013 Question: Where can I download configuration files from or create these myself?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

The above will automatically create the correct configuration based on the Mac address of the phone by simply filling out data in an Excel sheet.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Steffen, hello.

Configuration files automation helped a lot! Mapping data is then simple, just filling out the table. 🙂

The rest of the problem (associated with sip trunk) we solved ourselves.

Thanks!
Warm regards,
