I have a 450 that plays the voicemail waiting audible notification about every 30 seconds.  When is this set at in the files that I can change the duration to 60 minutes.  I thought in the past that is what it did by default but I am not able to find where this is set.

Hello Jeff,

this is the standard behavior as far as I am aware.

Checking this with an Asterisk 1.8 Server in the lab the Phone sends a registration with an expire of 3600 seconds.

The server replies with a 200 OK but sets the expire to 145 seconds.

The phone usually re-registers 30 seconds before the expire and the server then sends a notify with the message count.

The phone then play's a tone.

If your servers expiry time is shorter the tone will appear more frequent.

As far as I understand this is working as designed and you would need to work with your Polycom reseller to raise any change as a feature request.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier
