We have new Polycom VVX400 phones.  We are able to ping them, but the web interface will not present the web login screen.  My IP address is 192.168.1.109 and my phone IP address is 192.168.1.8.  Can you give me any guidance.

Hello Linda,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

In addition are you by any chance running the LYNC base profile ?

 

If yes:

Thanks for the reply.  I'm not sure how to determine what software we have...when I go into Settings, then Status, then Platform, then Application, them Main the Version is 4.1.6.5112.  Is that the software version?  Also, any time I try to access the Advanced menu I can't - it wants a password and 123 and 456 do not work.  If what I listed above isn't the software version, would you please tell me how to determine that?

4.1.6 is the UC Software Version.

 

Being unable to access the menu's simply indicates that the Person or Organisation who setup these phones has changed the standard Admin Password and most likely disabled the Web Interface.

 

You need to liaise with this person / party and they will be able to help you.

 

We do not disclose within this community how to reset the password if required.
