Hello.

First post here on the forum so forgive if it's on the wrong section.

Phone currently operating firmware:

UC Software Version 4.0.3.7562 BootROM Software Version5.0.3.1667

Now i would like usingHTTP Push to actually hangup a call so a few scenaries:

Outbound Call From The Phone

Send The Headset Action , OK

Outbound Call Before Picking Up The Call On The Other Side

Send The Headset Action , OK

Inbound Call Into The Phone

Send The Headset Action , OK

Reject An Inbound Call

Now this gets tricky .....

The only way i found is to use the softkey's to navigate the main menu.

Noow This depends on alot of variables like.

When the call arrived at the user was at the idle menu , etc

So is there any command to actually hangup the current call something like Action:Hangup?

Thanks

Antonio

Hello Antonio,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

To my knowledge there is currently only the Softkey functionality.

This is all described here:

Feb 04, 2013 Question: Can I remotely control the Phone or send content to the Phone?

Answer: The <apps/> parameter can be used to utilize the push server controls and more information can be found => here <=

Hello Steffen.

Although I have to admit that Polycom provides us with much more api's than the competitors, you have to agree with me that this is a great failure from Polycom on not providing a Hangup api... its like the basic functionality of a normal phone.

Using soft keys is way more dangerous since you don't actually know whats the current phone state.

Can you try to escalate this matter ? Maybe on a future version ?

Thanks

Antonio

Hi Antonio

Did you ever find a solution / workaround to push a hangup command to the phone (without using the softkeys)?   I would like to do something similar and i am surprised that there still does not seem to be an easy way to do this.

Thanks

Hello Franjan,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Answering the above depends on the Software Version and the Phone.

For example UCS 4.0.7 using SoundPoint IP or SoundStation IP and prior does not support this API.

What Phone and what Software Version are you using ?

Hi Steffen

The phone model is the VVX310 running UC software 4.1.4.7430  and Bootrom software version 5.1.4.0844

Currently I can easily initiate a call, but cancelling (or ending) a call seems to require the softkey approach.   Is there any other approach you could recommend?

Thanks a lot

F

Hello Franjan,

have a look if you have access to this post => here <=

In addition I suggest to update the phone to a currently supported software version.

This could be 4.1.8, 5.1.3 or 5.2.0

Hi Steffen

unfortunately it seems that post is not available to me.   I will check if there is anything in the later versions of the software, thanks.
