boot parameters issue

boot parameters issue

Hello,

 

When I power up my Polycom soundpoint IP650 it takes me to the message "waiting for Initialising" and then it changes to "Failed to get boot parameters via DHCP" the three options i am given it reboot (which repeats this process) setup and about.

 

How can I go about fixing this issue?

Is this a brand new unboxed SoundPoint or was this at some stage working?

 

From our FAQ:

 

Oct 7, 2011 Question: I get the error Message “Could not contact boot server” on my phones screen

Are you sure you are not getting any additional error messages like this:

 

Sep 27, 2012 QuestionI get the message “Error application not present / Application not Found” on my phones screen

Resolution: Please check => here <= or => here <= and ensure you are not using a TFTP server

 

Most likely you need to set up a local server and via the setup, menu point your phone to it to download a compatible current software like 4.0.15
