Hello

We are trying to configure failOver configuration with VVX-300 on UCS 5.2.0 and it seems to not working.

We have 2 differents B2BUA proxy (172.27.8.91 and 172.27.8.94) on which the phone is correctly registered.

on the sip server too, we see 2 registrations.

The problem is that when proxy 1 is down, incoming calls are not ringing on the phone.

When see on the proxy the call arriving and sent to the phone, but the phone doesn't ring and "reject" the call.

You will find enclosed the complete configuration of the phone, is there a mistake somewhere ?

best regards

Hello Steffen,

We have tried to do our configuration following this document, but it seems that something is wrong somewhere ...

Hello ,

Your 0004f280cd30-sipx-reg-advanced.cfg contains an older variant of the failover aka reg.1.server.1.address and reg.1.server.2.address.

You should really only use one type or the other. Ie: RROFO or legacy failover

We recommend deleting this parameter from your configuration:

reg.1.server.2.address="172.27.8.91"

and replacing the IP address used for reg.1.server.1.address with a FQDN.

and changing to use these parameter values:

reg.1.server.1.failOver.failBack.mode="duration"
reg.1.server.1.failOver.failBack.timeout="3600"
reg.1.server.1.port="0"

Setting the port to zero will cause the phone to send a DNS SRV request. That request needs a response containing 2 IP addresses… ie: the addresses you used to be putting directly into configuration.
