ip550 Join feature not working

Attempting to enable the JOIN feature on ip550 phone. Using this:

softkey.feature.join="1"

It will not work. Other features do work as expected. Cannot get the Join softkey to show up once the second call on a conference is connected. Split key does appear, Join does not.

softkey.feature.endcall="1"
softkey.feature.forward="1"
softkey.feature.split="1"
softkey.feature.join="1"
call.localConferenceEnabled="1"

Any suggestions?

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Most if not all configuration parameters you are utilizing below are factory standard so they do not need to be set.

I would suggest you update to an currently supported software like 4.0.9 and then factory restore the phone and test this again.

Problem resolved. There was a little misunderstanding on my part. I did not need the join button. I need the conference button.

This needs to be included in the configuration:

voIpProt.SIP.conference.address=""

This is required when the phone is NOT being controlled by an external SIP server for conference functionality. The command above essentially allows the Polycom phone to control conferencing when there is no agent login with external call control (Genesys in my case).
