The configuration option msg.bypassInstantMessage works brilliantly on the SPIP450 and SPIP650 (UC 4.0.2B) to bypass the "Message Center"/"Instant Messages" selection menu and go straight to "Message Center" when the Messages button is depressed.

However, although this option appears to be accepted by the 335 phone's firmware (no errors are logged by the configuration parser), it does not appear to affect any change of the Messages button on that device.  (Admittedly, the 335 lacks a discrete Messages button while running its stock configuration; I am, however, taking advantage of the included "Messages" replacement button and remapping one of the four remappable buttons to the "Messages" function using the configuration option using key.SPIP335.x.function.prim="Messages" as documented in TB 35656.)

On the 335, the Messages key remapping works, but msg.bypassInstantMessage appears to be ignored...I have to take the extra step to select "Message Center" from the menu after hitting the Messages button.

Is this a bug, or is there something else I'm overlooking/need to do?

Thanks,

Hello Nathan,

I have discussed this internally and this Parameter is not valid in conjunction with Phones without a dedicated Messages Hardware button and the documentation will be updated to outline this limitation.

Best Regards
