Hi,

Can someone clarify the use case for the "mwi.reminder.enable" param?

This FAQ -> http://community.polycom.com/t5/VoIP/FAQ-How-can-I-disable-the-message-waiting-tone/td-p/21228

Explain that if 0, no MWI tone is played each time the phone receives an MWI update.

This is just related with an MWI update that increase or decrease the number of messages if the actual number is not zero?

It seems to be the case when I tested with a SPIP 335 running 4.0.8c. If there is no message and a new one arrives the phone will play the tone. Then once MWI on no more tone is played for new messages. That is how it should work?

Hello Jarruda,

As I understand it the Phone should not play a MWI reminder tone for each NOTIFY with event as “message-summary” received from the server.

The Phone will play a MWI reminder tone for a NOTIFY with an event as “message-summary” received from server when there is a change in message count.
