i have a polycom 7000 stuck in a reboot loop very early on in the process.  it had been working just fine for quite a while, it was then rebooted from which it never came back.   it hits the polycom logo screen (only, no further) for about 7 seconds and then goes dark for 25 and rinse, lather, repeat.  it doesn't hit the provisioning server, and in fact, it never dhcps an ipaddress.  checked the faq, etc, and there's no obvious answer (to me at least) for a factory reset this early in the boot process.  the phone is going on 5 years old and the reseller is no longer around so i can't exactly "liaise" with my polycom reseller (it's also my personal work from home phone).  sooo.. is there a factory reset available at this point in the boot process?

We really need to know "WHICH" Polycom 7000 you have..   They have produced the Polycom VSX 7000, HDX 7000, IP 7000 (and a few others)...

You say it's a phone, so it sounds like it might be an IP 7000 Soundstation but not sure.

Please clarify and someone out here might be able to help better.

Cheers,

Hello reuteler,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Oct 10, 2011 Question: How can I reset / Factory default my Phones configuration?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

The above explains how to reset the Phone during the BootROM / Updater countdown.

If you are unable to access this menu or see this menu when pressing cancel then the unit requires a RMA.

ok, rma it is, apparently.  btw, the faq you reference doesn't contain a key combination for the 7000.

Hello reuteler,

I just added the IP 7000 to the FAQ and the same details can be found in the publicly available Admin Guides.
