Hello mwilliams306,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used software version.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Jan 22, 2014 Question: Which VVX Phones support the new Expansion Modules and what Software Version is required?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

In addition I have created a new FAQ post => here <= that shows how to add the Favorites to the Phone.

Please be aware of the following when utilizing UCS 4.1.0 or later:

The use of Polycom UC Software versions 4.1.X (“Software”) requires the purchase of a separate Software license for every device that will use the Software in a Lync environment. You may not install, access, or use the Software in a Lync environment on more devices than are listed on your license until additional licenses have been purchased and authorized by Polycom. These licenses should be purchased from the same company from which you purchased the devices. You may operate devices against a Lync server for trial purposes for up to 30 days without purchasing a license. Use of the Software is subject to the terms and conditions of the End User License Agreement.

Polycom reserves the right to audit your deployment to verify that you have sufficient licenses to match the number of devices being used.

Information in regards of License Part Numbers can be found here

I have Polycom vvx410 and added Color Expansion Module. I am running Generic Profile and running 4.1.6.4835. The Color Expansion module is not lit. How do I turn it on, when the boots up all the color screen and button lights up. Then once the phone is fully boots. The  screen goes black. And none of the button works. Also on  Polycom VX410 Web UI, the on Utilities, I don’t see EM Directory even though I have plugged in Color Expansion Module.

Hello Thomas,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Have you tried to press a button for longer as it should bring up a speed dial menu.

The Web Interface will only show the Paper White Expansion Module.

If that does not work you must contact your Polycom reseller.

It worked after I unplugged the phone and pluged it back in. After I did the frimware downgrade, I had to unplug the phone for it take an effect.
