Our company CEO has this phone in his home office which connects to our hosted phone service at Fonality. Randomly, while he is on a call, the phone will power cycle. We have performed the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Replaced the phone.
  • Replaced the power supply.
  • Installed a UPS and replaced the power supply with a POE adapater.
  • We've also worked with our phone vendor, Fonality, but they have no answers.

Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you.

Hello FCS Mike,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

A useful starting point usually would be to post the currently used software version as that would enable yourself and others to check against the available release notes.

The community's VoIP => FAQ <= contains this post here:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check => here <=

Usually, if setup correctly the phone will write it's log files to a provisioning server but depending on the crash a syslog server may be needed.

I suggest yu work with your Polycom reseller or Phone provider to bring this to the attention of Polycom support.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
