if I press the green dial button/take it off-hook and attempt to dial a number that includes the * key, the unit acts as if I pressed the dial/send key and dials immediately as I hit the "*" key.  This behaviour results in a dialing error.

If I enter any other number (excluding the * key) it accepts the whole number, then I can dial when I have finished when I intend it to happen.

Does anyone know if this is normal behavior, and can I change it, or am I making a fundamental error?

The model is the Soundstation IP 7000 and the application version I'm using is 4.0.9

If I pre-enter the entire number, including the * key I can successfully make the call when I press the call key.
