Hi Community

Very confused as to which file I should be putting these values in.

I jusr cannot get the phone to take them, and update the time server.

Currently I'm trying this;

<tcpIpApp.sntp tcpIpApp.sntp.address="VALIDTIMESERVER" tcpIpApp.sntp.gmtOffset="0"/>

but have tried using <time/>, <SNTP/>, <tcpIpApp/> etc

I just need to know which cfg file I should be putting these params in.

Currently am provisioning values to;

reg-basic.cfg

reg-advanced.cfg

device.cfg

sip-basic.cfg

site.cfg

sip-interop.cfg

features.cfg

Should it be in any of these?

I've been searching for a few hours now to no avail. I have chacked many of the support document but have not found where to insert these values.

Any helpl would be appreciated.

Many thanks, Joe

UC Software Version = 5.4.2.2834

Model = VVX310

Time spent searching = too long.

Hello joethejones,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

A couple of your old posts => here <= are still open / pending as you have not marked these as "Accept as a solution".

If they are in this state nobody finding them via a community search will know if an answer or advice was useful and has helped you.

Could you therefore kindly go over them and mark or answer as appropriate ?

If they are marked as "Accept as a solution" other users can find these easier and it helps them to utilize the community more efficiently.

In addition the FAQ contains:

Jan 28, 2013 Question: Time and Date flashing or unable to set time correctly

Resolution: Please check => here <=

All the files you reference below are templates and need to be loaded via the <mac>.cfg file.

Yes I'll have a look through the old posts.

But, what about the tcpIpApp params?

Argh being massively stupid.

I forgot the files are all available.

Too many phone systems, not enough coffee.
