I have a vvx1500 that won't get past the Polycom banner with all keys lit up on startup.  It doesn't respond to  4, 6, 8 and * or other key presses. It stays lit up this way, no resetting.  Is there a harware reset to recover from this?

Thanks,

Jed

Hello Jed,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Did you try and upgrade this unit to any software after 5.2.0 and did not read this => here <= prior to upgrading ?

To upgrade the software on the Polycom VVX 1500 to version 3.2.2, you must download the following files: Polycom VVX SIP 3.2.2 (Combined or Split ver), Polycom VVX BootROM 4.1.4, and Polycom BootBlock 2.9.0. For detailed instructions on how to upgrade, please refer to Technical Bulletin 53522

Before deploying UCS 5.2.0 or Later to VVX 1500 – Please carefully go through the instructions inTechnical Bulletin 695

That's it , it was on 5.02. and apparently found a newer sip.ld, from the boot.log -

Hello Jed,

5.2.2 is the Updater / BootROM coming with the 5.0.2 release.

I assume someone looking after your infrastructure added a new Software on the provisioning server without reading the notice and therefore killed the VVX1500.

Only a RMA will fix this.
