Hi,

 

Trying to quickly see if I can get a vvx311 and soundstation to connect to a talktalk provided mitel cloud service. talktalk refuse to provide support for non mitel equiment but did provide

  • sip username,
  • sip password,
  • extension
  • sip server address.

Can if just enter this info via the phone admin website or do I have to configure a provisioning server?

Thanks for the response. The articles were rather general however I took them to mean I did not have to have a provisioning server.

 

The article https://community.polycom.com/t5/VoIP-SIP-Phones/FAQ-Can-I-register-my-Polycom-Phone-with-a-XYZ-SIP-... is incomplete in that I was left guessing what to do with the sip server address I had been given by talktalk. It is also a bad example as the address or ext and the user-id example values are the same.

 

Playing around with the soundstation ip 6000 I tried again and agin but could not get the thing to work. I have dial tone but any number dialed results in the number unobtainable tones. The log is as follows.
