Hi,

Can you advise if we can change the default call type to use the Work Number of a contact instead of a Lync Call. We are in the process of moving users from a PBX system to Lync Enterprise Voice. The issue is that when a user with a Polycom phone selects a contact on their favorites screen it will make a Lync Call. If the user they are calling is not on Enterprise Voice yet, they are unable to answer the call.

Thanks,

Chris

Hello Chris,

I believe at present if the contact has an Email address then the Phone will try and dial the SIP URI aka Email.

A long press on the contact will show you the other numbers and you can then select the Phone Number instead.

I can only suggest to work with your Polycom reseller or Polycom Sales engineer directly to get this prioritized for a future software version.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
