Hi Steffen,

Its a year gone now and not sure if there has been any update on this request on the later firmware with 5.4 now out.

I am using 5.3.0 and got a requirement from a customer to remove the Reject/Ignore soft keys on incoming calls.

YOur repsonse would be much appreciated. if nothing has changed yet, will raise a case with my reseller

Regards

Robert

Hello Robert,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

A lot of people ask questions here but never follow it up the official way so our Product management team cannot plan this for future releases.

Like everywhere else features depend on the demand and the business opportunity behind it.

I suggest you work with your Polycom reseller and quote VOIP-61463 as this is the only internal reference I found by another customer asking for the same.

Please work with the reseller to bring this to the attention of a Sales Engineer as this is not a support ticket and a feature request instead.

In addition you may want to look at the new up.LineViewCallStatus.enabled Parameter as you may be able to place a few Softkeys to move the reject softkey away from the main screen.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

i found a little work around.  set the reg.x.type to shared and then the reject button is replaced with silent.

although this will mute out the ring tone, it doesn't decline the call like the reject button and the call can still be answered before no answer timer is reached.

Thanks Cory,

We were trying to figure out why we didn't have the reject button on most of our phones. Once I changed mine from Auto to Private the Silence button is gone and the Reject button is now showing.

Hi,

we also have a requirement to disable the reject button.

I looked at pushing it off the screen by adding extra softkeys but that is a horrible solution.  But, this seems to work very well!

With this option the phone symbol goes half filled, ie partially greyed out.

Any idea if there other consequences?

The phone won't act as a shared line unless you configure it at the SIP server?

Thanks

Vincent

Hello Vincent,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Jan 03, 2013 Question: How can I request a change to the current Polycom SIP / UCS Software?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

In regards of the shared line question. What do you mean by this?

The reg.x.type parameter or the web interface allows you to define a line as shared. It depends on your server to support this.
