Soundpoint IP 550 Rev. R

UCS 4.0.11

Lines 1-3 : register correctly

Line 4: Not supposed to register: reg.4.server.1.register="0"

Note: reg.4.server.2.address="", not used, but I tried setting reg.4.server.2.register="0" anway

All line icons are correct:

 Lines 1-3: filled

 Line 4: unfilled

But, after each boot:

 - a message dialog pops up saying "Error Line:Unregistered"

 - a warning icon is shown at the top right corner of the idle screen

Checking Menu->Status->Diagnostics->Warnings shows that the warning is indeed for Line 4.

I can clear the warning here, but it comes back at the next boot.

Changing configuration parameter

up.warningLevel

from 0 (all warnings) to 1 (critical warnings only) makes no difference -- apparently this is a critical warning.

This certainly seems to be a bug: phone should not be warning that a line that is not supposed to register is unregistered.

Hello bitbanger,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

Did you ever solve your issue => here <= ?

As for your new issue did this work in a prior release?

I assume we are talking about the same phone as in your old post and as you do not have any warranty or maintenance you will be unable to open a support ticket even as a Pay Per Incident / PPI.

Maybe another user can check this and raise this if they see this in the field.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

This is a different phone (SPIP 550) running a different firmware version (4.0.11).

I decided to leave the old phone (SPIP 450, UCS 3.3.3.0094) as-is, since if I overwrote the firmware I could never restore it.

Using the identical configuration for the do-not-register line, UCS 3.3.3.0094 on the SPIP 450 does not have this error.

I just got off the phone with tech support. They opened a case for this. They will try to reproduce the problem.
