I'm experiencing this same issue. I'm positive I'm assigning the category and index for Line1 but still get a blank configuration. Did you ever get this working?

In case of your new issue it would be easiest if you provide details on your configuration, the Software version you are experiencing this with and maybe even a backup of your configuration.

That issue you're referring to resolved itself. Thanks for following up!

I'm interested now in the VVX configuration and determining what I'm doing wrong. When enabling flexible line and assigning lineKey.1.category "line" with index "1" the phone boots blank. Is there another setting I'm not seeing or overlooking?

Sorry! I've attached the backup of my VVX 600 with expansion module attached. The firmware running is 5.4.1

 

In addition, we are running Lync 2013.

Please be aware that we have a separate Skype for Business / LYNC section => here <= for future S4B related post's.

 

In addition I updated the FAQ post => here <= on the 31/December/2015 explaining as follows:

 

  • Using LYNC, Skype for Business or Office 365 with UC Software 5.4.1 or later will no longer support the above mentioned configuration parameter and uses feature.flexibleLineKey.enable instead

You are running 5.4.1 and are using the "old" no longer in LYNC Base Profile supported lineKey.reassignment.enabled instead.

 

Part of the new feature is discussed => here <= and I will create a new FAQ post for the community.

 

The MAC 0004f28aa29d seems to be assigned to some internal Polycom account so I am unable to verify who the relevant Reseller for any first level support would be in your region.

 

Please also ensure that you have the relevant per device Polycom LYNC license as explained => here <=

Cool! I got the functionality to work... So, when enabled you have to manually assign the contacts to the phone, it will not pick up your favorites and\or delegates automatically?

 

Basically all I'm wanting to do is move all favorties and delegates from the phone to the expansion module directly.

As mentioned before your Polycom reseller really should be consulted for any support questions as they can open a Support Ticket with Polycom for you in case you struggle.

 

In addition it is also useful to check the latest release notes or admin guides as new features are usually documented or mentioned within.

 

The UC Software 5.4.1 Software release notes covers this new feature on page 4 and page 7.
