I have the Poly Studio USB bar as part of a Microsoft Teams system.  https://www.poly.com/us/en/products/video-conferencing/studio/studio

Version 1.3.0 was released and I was able to install it via USB with the companion app.

https://support.polycom.com/content/support/north-america/usa/en/support/peripherals/polycom-studio....

If the future I'd like to remote manage the device.  According to the specs, these are the options:

  • Manageability (via wi-fi)
    • Companion App (running on Win/Mac PC connected to device)
    • RealPresence Resource Manager
    • Device Management Service

Which of these options would be the simplest way to remote manage the device?  I've connected it to WiFi but that doesn't seem to do anything on it's own, no web portal...  Would I be able to manage it with a cloud account? https://console.plcm.cloud/createAccount

Hello @kweegup ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

You can either use RPRM >here< or PDMS-E >here

Thanks for the links.  It looks like both of those require additional licensing?  I'd probably lean toward the PDMS-E cloud option.  Do you know if Teams will be able to manage the Studio similar to how it can update firmware on the CCX500 phones?

Hi @

you can manage the Poly Studio USB with PDMS-E for free. Only phones must be licensed.

You can´t manage the Studio USB with Intune/MDM.

How to obtain a trial license for E-PDMS to manage my poly studio?

Apparently the request form is no longer available: https://www.poly.com/us/en/promotions/pdms-e-trial

Cheers

I was finally able to get the invention email from my rep along with a license key.  It said it was a trial for some reason.  Not sure how to get the Studio registered in the console yet.
