We are attempting to upgrade our vvx500 and vvx600 from 5.2.2 to 5.3.0. This is going fine but the only this is, when you do a upgrade you will lose the softkeys: buddy list and contacts. I cant get them back up again. When i do a downgrade back to 5.2.2 the softkeys are back.

There are no changes in the template file while doing the upgrade. Anyone a idea?

Kind Regards,

Lars

Hello Lars,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

I am not aware of such issue.

How are you adding these keys ? Via EFK or do you simply mean the "My Status" and "Buddies" softkey that appears once you enable presence ?

Is this SIP or LYNC ?

Hello Steffen.

Let me explain it further:

We started with the 5.2.2 firmware and configuring the UC-ONE xmpp features. This is going great and in the admin guide is stated when you enable pres.idleSoftKeys and the pres.reg features you will get 2 softkeys, buddies and status. In 5.2.2 on the vvx phones this isn't working expect when you disable feature.qml.enabled. The softkeys are automatically placed. You will get your 2 softkeys but you will lose your broadsoft directory.
We were a little behind on the firmware and i was convinced this will be solved in 5.3.0

So when upgrading to 5.3.0 i enabled the feature.qml.enabled for the broadsoft directory and this worked. But the strangest thing is that when upgrading to 5.3.0 i will lose the softkeys. There is no change if you enable the feature.qml.enabled. The softkeys will remain empty. I enabled the feature.enhancedFeatureKeys.enabled but this doesn't seems to work

Where are using sip with broadsoft  r.20.

Kind Regards,

Lars

Hello Lars,

This is something we would need to reproduce in our support organisation. Could you kindly raise a case via your Polycom reseller and post the Polycom 1- reference here once done ?
