How can I preset an individual name , for example like the computername in a PC or notebook , for the IP6000.
I configured the IP6000 with DHCP enable and after connect the IP6000 to the network it gets a IP-Address and a host/computername from the DHCP-Server, so my question is, can I control the host/computername for the IP6000.
Thank you for helping.

I did the Upgrade to UCS 4.0.3 Software and there is a possibility to set the "Hostname" direct in the "menu" of the IP6000.
Your tip was very helpful.
Thanks

Hello Gehrlach-Behr,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
According to the UCS 4.0.1 Admin Guide (unsure what software you have installed) there is a parameter for the hostname.
<device device.set="1" device.host.hostname.set="1" device.host.hostname="yourhostname" />
Above is an example how you would usually activate this but I have never tested this myself.
