HI,

We have VVX 410 and VVX 500 phones and they are all configured with Lync 2013.

These phones are runing firmware 5.3.0, yes I understand that this is not Microsoft certified but as it Polycom supported we are happy with that and all works very well, except one issue, I have replicated our issue with  Firmware 5.2.3.

We have only one issue at the momemnt;

When a 10 digit number is dialed and you have the hand set off hook the phone starts dialing at the 8th digit, i.e. 1300306103 (Australia) this number starts dialing at 13003061 you cannot enter the final 03.

if the handset is not lifted you can enter the full number and dial successfully as you can also with Lync soft client.

is this something configurable in the phones config to delay dialing?

Many thanks

Nathan

Hello Nathan,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Microsoft has actually tested UC Software 5.3.0

You issue is the digitmap timeout which was only discussed => here <= a few days ago.

Hello Steffen,

I have had a chance to play with this and updated the config to;

dialplan.1.lyncdigitmap.timeout=”0”

However the phone still dials the number at the 8th digit, I am entering the numbers and there is no period of inactivity greater than 1 second, so I feel that this is matching some rule here and then dialing.

If is is a time out perhaps the time is starting from the time you enter the first digit? or perhaps when place the phone off hook?

The dial plan settings that we have currently are;

dialplan.1.e911dialmask="112;106"

dialplan.1.e911dialstring="000"

dialplan.routing.emergency.1.value="000"

dialplan.impossibleMatchHandling="3"

dialplan.impossibleMatchHandling.timeOut="4"

dialplan.1.lyncDigitmap.timeOut="0"

Could the impossibleMatchHandeling be an issue?

Many thanks

Nathan

Hi found the issue and thought I would Post it in case it helps anyone else later.

Big thanks to the PABX guy who happened to come on site and provide so detail about EN-BLOCK.

As it turns out it was the dial plans, thanks Lync Admin, who I had to argue with for half an hour to try a different setting!

Basically the en-block (PABX term) is not on, how you would turn it on I do not know. so each press of a number is being sent to the Lync server directly and at 8 digits we hit a SIP dialling rule so Lync would dial, but if you sent the entire 10 digit block as one string it would work as expected.
