Simply quoting the FAQ an repeating what I already posted:
Jan 25, 2016 Question:How many Lines can I register using Polycom phones with a Lync / Skype for Business server ?
Resolution: You can register only one line when LYNC / Skype for Business is set as the base profile on the phone. The Polycom Trio platform has a hybrid feature for 3 different lines. The first one must be Skype for Business / Office 365 and more details are => here <=
Aka only 1X Skype line !!!
Not sure the exact scenario that you're trying to solve, but maybe something that will help.
We have the trio logged in to SfBO with an account that mirrors the name of the room. If people schedule the room and include a Skype meeting invite you're golden. If they didn't include the room, or you are joining a Skype meeting that isn't in your org (say Microsoft wants to meet with you) then I join the meeting on my laptop with no audio. I then click invite others and type the name of the room and click ok. The trio in the room will start ringing, simply answer and the phone will be in the meeting.
Again, don't know your exact scenario, but this has worked well for us.
We have new Trios 8800 and they are setup already with Skype and video. I'm tasked with registering line 2.. When I log into the web interface, I can see line 1-2-3. I stare and compare to an existing working phone in Portland, however, my phone in Florida will not register the line 2. I have also stared and compared System/Session Manager, and Avaya CM. All the same settings. Rebooted, restarted phone many times. Warning error line 2 SIP unregistered.
May I please get some suggestions?
Hello @MarcyG ,
welcome to the Poly Community.
Both the communities Must Read First and the FAQ reference the basic minimum information a new or follow up post should contain.
This ensures the questions having to be asked are limited and any new or follow up post contains the right amount of details to ensure any voluntary participant within the community does not spend additional time chasing basic information.
As a reminder the basic information asked for:
UC Software 4.0.0 or later via the Web Interface Utilities > Phone Backup & Restore > Phone Backup > Phone Backup. Please rename into .TXT or Zip the file to attach.
Since UC Software 5.9.0 simply provide this via the Web Interface Diagnostics > Download Support Information Package
Whilst providing some of these details may not directly impact any possible answer the community can provide, it does enable Poly to have an overview of the current software used. In addition, providing all details at the same time allow us to check logs or look up potential support partners if an issue needs to come into support. It also enables us to verify the entitlement for using features.
Please ensure you always check the FAQ's and/or utilize the community search before posting any new topics or follow up posts.
There are already multiple posts and a FAQ article covering this. If you are still unable to sign into the 2nd Line for openSIP please open a ticket.
In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Poly reseller as they need to do this for you.
End Customers are unable to open a ticket directly with Poly support.
If this is some sort of an Internet discounter providing your MAC address or your Poly devices serial will enable us to look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Poly device from.
If the unit is no longer within the warranty please be prepared to Pay Per Incident / PPI. This is all outlined in detail here
