Hello,

Majority of our customers are ok with having call waiting just beep in there ear every few seconds while they are on a call. We have an ambulance company that we just got onto the VVX410's. When they receive a 911 or dispatch call, they need all calls to ring through the speaker of the phone, not just a beep on their headset.

I've messed around with the config on our provisioning server and was able to change the beep sound in the ear to be the ringer but I'm not able to hear it through the speaker. They previous had Allworx and all calls rang through the speaker. This is becoming a huge liabilty for them as they need to answer every call and some calls that come in are more importan that others. It's very easy given their jobs as dispatch for them to not hear that beep or to constanly be looking at the Polycom screen.

Any insight into this is greatly appreciated. Our VOIP provider is completely clueless as to how to fix this.

Thank you!

Hello @RLedbetter2013,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Sep 26, 2013 Question: How can I disable the call waiting tone or change the tone?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

If this is set to ring then the tone will be played via the Speaker.

Thank you for the suggestion but that didn't work. It plays the incoming ringer in the headset. I need when a second call comes in for the ringer to play through the speaker of the phone like it's the first call.
